Steadfast House is a local organization that provides women a fresh start and a place to heal surrounded and supported by Christian love, trust, education and companionship. Their mission is to provide stability to homeless women and moms with children; provide personal skill building for women; provide education and training that equip women for employment and sustainable housing; provide reintegration skills and opportunities that lead to greater self-determination.

Women at Steadfast House attend a variety of life skills classes and learn how to build esteem, manage emotions such as depression and anger, develop and maintain sobriety through recovery, and practical skills that lead to jobs for life. Through weekly case management sessions, the Steadfast House staff addresses the challenges the women face and provide tools to help them achieve their goals.

Cook Team

One of their greatest needs is for people to help out with the cook team. This team prepares and serve meals for 20 people at lunch and 40 at dinner. Food is brought in by each team, but there are some basic food ingredients from onsite to use. Please email Heather Cerda for more information.

Child Enrichment Program

After completion of a short training session, volunteers will join our Child Enrichment team to help facilitate nurturing, educational environments and provide evening supervision for the children who are living at Steadfast House. Steadfast House is a place to call home for both women and children to help them down the path of  transformation. If you have a heart for children with special stories and circumstances, please consider joining us. Contact Maia Price at maia.price@abccm.org.
